Day One!

Today is May 18th and that means it is day one for the ten-week News21 program.

Things kicked off with a bang here at ASU as we began the morning with a rise-and-shine 9am meeting to start the summer. We went over a few logistics, which included looking at some alpha-phase screen-shots of our future homepage and content management system, followed by doughnuts.

An hour or so later we were sent out into the newsroom to continue working on our stories. For a tour of our newsroom home-base at the Cronkite School, click on over to the “Newsroom” page to view a tour! For more information on our individual stories and groups, point that cursor at the “Stories” page!

For one day a lot was accomplished. Many of us continued working on stories we had begun to investigate in the weeks leading up to the start of the program, while some of us (Emily) who are new, last-minute additions to the program worked to get up to speed.

But most importantly we created this blog today! Expect to see a plethora of blogs, videos, pictures and more to come flowing through this portal of innovative journalism excellence! In the mean time, click on over to the “About” page and get familiar with the team!
